I received the following message, indicating that the computer was not able to load a wierd looking DLL, something like: c:\documents and settings\local settings\application data\anaselop.dll The strange looking DLL made me suspicious, so I searched for its name in Google.com. Did not find any reference, making me suspect that the DLL was created by MALWARE. Thankfully, I checked my Antivirus program and found that it quarantined a virus recently and that likely left this "orphaned" startup item. To clear it out, I performed the following: Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK Locate and then click the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run In the right pane, right-click the RUNDLL line that contains the specified DLL in the startup error and then click Delete. You may also need to check the following location: HKEY_Current User\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run Click Close to close Registry Editor. Restart the computer. Afterward, I strongly suggest that you update your antivirus and scan your system. Afterwards, download a malware scanner, such as MalwareBytes, and use it to scan again. No one scanner is completely 100% effective so you have use several.
