I needed to enable support in my PC's BIOS. After entering into the BIOS, I found my CPU's virtualization setting AMD-V (others maybe Intel VT or VIA VT) and I enabled it.

After upgrading my laptop to Windows 7, I wasn't aware that my hardware needed to have a special feature in order to use XP mode. Basically, there is no way for me to get this to work since the laptop manufacturer doesn't support hardware level virtualization. Use this link to see if your computer supports virtualization before attempting to use XP mode:
