I received the following message, indicating that the computer was not able to load a wierd looking DLL, something like:c:\documents and settings\local settings\application data\anaselop.dllThe strange looking DLL made me suspicious, so I searched for its name in Google.com. Did not find any reference, making me suspect that the DLL was created by MALWARE.Thankfully, I checked my Antivirus program and found that it quarantined a virus recently and that likely left this "orphaned" startup item. To clear it out, I performed the following:Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK Locate and then click the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run In the right pane, right-click the RUNDLL line that contains the specified DLL in the startup error and then click Delete. You may also need to check the following location: HKEY_Current User\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run Click Close to close Registry Editor. Restart the computer.Afterward, I strongly suggest that you update your antivirus and scan your system. Afterwards, download a malware scanner, such as MalwareBytes, and use it to scan again. No one scanner is completely 100% effective so you have use several.

Received this message with a legitimate application that was designed to run my printer. Had to uninstall the printer, remove the registry startup item manually, then reinstall the printer software. To perform the registry steps, do the following:Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK Locate and then click the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run In the right pane, right-click the line that references the printer, and then click Delete. Click Close to close Registry Editor. Restart the computer.
